After being in Germany for a week there are many things that I have come to like. Other than the weather Germany has been great. After going to many German Christmas markets and trying all sorts of new foods I think this is a highlight for everyone.
Today we visited a place called Company Sick. We caught the train from Denzlingen to Batzenhäusle. This what only two stops away. We were split into two groups with two trainees per group. We were showed all the sensor technology that began at the 1950's to current time. We were able to test the sensors on different machines such as label making machines and conveyer belts. We looked around the factory and saw where the interns train and people showed us their projects such as making a light switch that turns on when the lights are out. Afterwards we went and chatted in a room with the 4 interns and had some German cake and something to drink. In this time we were able to ask different questions to find out about things we were interested in knowing. This was very interesting as many students had not seen how this technology works before.
We then went to Waldkirch. In Waldkirch we had a quick look around the town saw a lake that was frozen over with a shopping trolley in the middle which provided some very funny entertainment for everyone. We then got on the train at Waldkirch which thankfully the train driver helped us out as we almost missed it. All up it was a great day.
